David Modica
David Modica is a native of the Louisville, Kentucky area, currently residing in New Albany, Indiana. A photographer for nearly 30 years, David’s work is expressed in traditional black and white, silver gelatin prints; made by hand in his own darkroom.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University and studied photography formally at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn (Chicago), Illinois. He is a founding member of PYRO, an artist’s cooperative gallery in Louisville, where he has served as Business Director and Treasurer. David’s personal work is held in many private collections and on display in many corporations throughout the region. His work of the Stock Yards is part of the fine arts collection at the University of Louisville Photo Archives.
Dru Pilmer
Dru is a Contemporary Expressionistic Abstract acrylic painter. She was born in Rhode Island, raised in Mississippi, and now calls the Greater Louisville area her home. Her work as a voice teacher and former work as a professional actor/dancer, informs the improvisational approach she takes in her paintings, which are often described as energetic and bold.
Jeff Reinhardt
From the Artist:
“All of my products are made by me in my shop in Indiana. I heat the items in a forge, and then using hand hammers and a power hammer, I forge the item to near shape. Then, I finish the products by grinding, sanding, applying a patina or painting, and coating. Some of my products get a heat treatment to harden them as well. Most of the equipment in my shop was made by me, including the power hammer. All of my products are slightly unique, as each is made by my hand and eye. No two will ever be exactly alike. No dies that make a stamped shape are ever used. I forge with a coal forge or propane forge depending on the item and most are forged at 2200F.”
Kevin Schultz
Kevin studied art at Indiana University Southeast and received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 1982. She went on to study with many artists and received her MAT in 2001 from the University of Louisville. She lives in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, where she has a beautiful studio designed by her husband, Rick. She teaches drawing and photography at New Albany High School. She has won many awards and continues to compete in juried exhibitions.
In the “Victorian Series,” Kevin Schultz, plays with the beauty in nature and the female form. These artworks are exploring how flower gardens can reveal a sense of inner beauty in the human form. The model for the images is wearing an antique Victorian dress. The flower garden images are from local gardens and the artist’s own Iris garden which feature flowers handed down from her grandmother. There was this connection between flowers holding emotions and memories and how they sometimes become keepsakes. A history continues in the unfolding of the flowers in the spring and the story of the Victorian dress.

Wendi Smith
Wendi Smith’s work has been exhibited regionally for over thirty years. She has been a member of local co-ops Zephyr and PYRO Gallery, as well as a supporter of the local arts scene. Exhibit credits include Four Star Gallery in Indianapolis, the Carnegie for the Arts in Cincinnati, and Zephyr Gallery in Louisville. She has taught fine arts at Bellarmine University and Indiana University Southeast.
Her work deals with the adaptation of ritual objects to natural subjects. The presented work is inspired by fetish objects, created from found natural elements and simple threads and beads. Each fetish is housed in a box, on which the object is portrayed.
Brian Somerville
Brian Somerville earned his BFA from the University of Evansville and an MFA from Florida Atlantic University. Brian has a studio in Burns, Tennessee, where most of his beasts are created. He helps others explore their own beasts through hands-on workshops and live sculpting demonstrations.
Rebecca West
Rebecca (Reb) West is a printmaker and painter. She creates prints, interactive works, artist books and paintings engaging with imagery from the natural world, man made environments, fantastical creatures, and ideas of loss and hauntedness.
Kimara Wilhite
Kimara Wilhite is a self-taught photographer that regularly attends workshops, where she learns new techniques from fellow photographers. She loves to travel and finds great joy in capturing nature and dramatic light. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Equine Photographers Network, and Louisville Visual Art Association. Her work has been published in magazines and exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States.
Bonnie Zimmer
Bonnie is a lifelong artist, teacher, arts activist, and resident of northwest Indiana. She has lived in Rensselaer, Indiana for over three decades with her husband Bill and her, now grown, three children. Over the years, she has taught art in the public schools at all levels. Now Professor Emeritus of Art, she retired from Saint Joseph’s College in May of 2016, where she was an Associate Professor of Art and chair of the Art Department. Also a committed artist, she has made art “whenever she could,” even exhibiting pieces nationally. She has lived up to her strong leadership role by her commitment to service and by demonstrating the importance of having art in her rural community.
